Apartment Rental Assistance

It’s my understanding the federal government has provided billions of dollars to states, counties, and local governments to assist renters pay their rent because of their unemployment during the shut-down of the economy as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.  This obviously doesn’t include those people who received unemployment compensation, had personal savings or, who could borrow money from their family members to help pay for their rent. These dollars are intended to go to those renters who absolutely couldn’t afford to pay their rent or would be homeless.  Why have the states, counties, and local governments failed to coordinate the distribution of those federal dollars to help those individuals in greatest needs?

This not only affects renters but, it also affects the landlords who haven’t been able to pay their mortgages, taxes, insurance, maintenance, etc.  This has been a real hardship for many people.  Why haven’t the States, Counties and Municipalities been all over the distribution of these needed Dollars?  Here’s a “LINK” for those individuals who have been hurt hardest and need to file the paperwork to receive some of those federal dollars.
